Sohrab Naeimi (Majid Naeimi), (January 19, 1982) is an Iranian writer, researcher, and photographer. He was born on January 19, 1982 in Tehran. He graduated in civil engineering and holds a master’s degree in photography. He is a filmmaker, former radio editor, and the founder of the classification of photography genres in Iran. In 2009, he took many photos as a photographer for the Etemadmelli newspaper.
Sohrab Naeimi has valuable works in the fields of filmmaking, performance art, and artistic photography. He published his first engineering books in 2005 as a group work of writers and professors of civil engineering, with the titles Distortion in Images and Groundwater.
Among her most controversial writings is the book Radical Philosophy of Art in the Visual Arts of Painting and Photography, as it attracted the opinions of many enthusiasts.

The unveiling and inauguration of the comprehensive photography training book titled (Photography by Nourizad) was held on May 8, 2023, by Lady Fatemeh Maleki, wife of Dr. Mohammad Nourizad.
After publishing the book (Photo by Nourizad), Sohrab Naimi presented the volume to Dr. Mohammad Nourizad. During the signing ceremony of the book (Photo by Nourizad), Dr. Mohammad Nourizad contacted him from the first prison.
Photo Exhibition 2012
In 2012, Sohrab Naeimi held his first exhibition of nature photographs titled Freedom in Nature in the city of Mazandaran, where he was able to bring together many enthusiasts, including the Mazandaran Provincial Wildlife Conservation Association and environmentalists from Mazandaran Province.
Photo Exhibition 2020
In 2020, he also appealed to art enthusiasts not to leave him alone during his second exhibition at the Elysee Gallery. In this exhibition, more than 240 citizens in Tehran visited his works.
In this exhibition, he presented a video art titled Liberation and unveiled a painting titled (Don’t Tie the Flower) based on the execution of Navid Afkari, complaining about the approach of politicians in Iran and protesting against executions and violence in Iran. In an interview, he stated that if life is given by God, then man absolutely cannot take the life of another person.
“A Crowd of Gazes” was the name of another prominent work by Sohrab Naeimi in this exhibition. This work, presented in the form of mixed media, was a combination of photography and calligraphy and referred to violence against women.

Sohrab Naimi gave one of the most challenging lectures at the university in 2019, in the form of a seminar on the history of contemporary art. In part of this seminar, he says:

متاسفانه؛ در تابستان سال ۲۰۲۴ (۱۴۰۳) سهراب نعیمی دچار حادثه شد. او در جاده دچار حادثه تصادف شد و بعد از منحرف شدن از جاده و برخورد با چندین موانع به بیمارستان منتقل شد و تحت عمل جراحی نخاعی و ستون فقرات قرار گرفت. متاسفانه؛ بعد از این حادثه او به علت تعلل در حرکت های جسمانی و نخاعی، مجبور شد تا از دنیای عکس فاصله بگیرد و به همین علت بسیاری از پروژه های او ناتمام ماند.
